During the Ancient Egypt topic we were learning about mummification. So as part of this we mummified tomatoes. Firstly, we took out the pulp and seeds (internal organs and brain). After this, we washed the tomato with hand wash (palm oil and perfumed oils). Then, we filled and covered the tomato with salt and baking soda (natron) and we left the for over 40 days. Have a look at the pictures below to see what the mummified tomatoes looked like. We were very shocked with the result.
