Parkview's Curriculum

Leaders have carefully planned our curriculum to ensure that when every child leaves us in Year 6, they have the knowledge and skills to succeed in life and the modern day. It is designed to ensure that all learners know and remember more in the long term. Teaching staff use assessment well to inform their teaching and to provide accurate next steps for all pupils. As a result of this, Parkview's statutory assessment results are, on the whole, favourable in comparison to local and national data.

The Parkview skills

We want to make sure that our pupils know how to make a positive contribution to society and their community and our Parkview skills below support us in doing that:

We ensure the fundamental British values permeate the ethos and life of the school in order to prepare children for life in Modern Britain. We recognise that the personal development of the children – spiritually, morally, socially and culturally – plays a significant role in their ability to learn, and to grow into well-rounded members of society. Take a quick look at our year group overviews to see the wide range of enrichment activities on offer which brings learning to life Parkview Primary School - Year Group Overviews

Each topic area has a link which will take you to supportive activities which can be completed at home with your child, to reinforce the learning that has taken place in school.
