Mental Health & Wellbeing

At Parkview Primary School, we are committed to supporting the emotional health and wellbeing of our pupils, staff and families.
Health and Wellbeing is a core theme in our PSHE scheme, PSHE Matters, which is delivered on a whole-school level. Encouraging and guiding children to think about their own mental health and wellbeing are vital skills and this is central to our PSHE scheme.

Daily Mindfulness & Self-Regulation Strategies
Children complete mindfulness sessions every day in school. They are taught ways to manage emotions and regulate how they are feeling. Here are some of the things we do in our school:
Parkview Primary School - Mindfulness & Self-Regulation
Children's Mental Health Week
Wellbeing Ambassadors
We also have wellbeing pupil ambassadors in school who support all things wellbeing! This group of children spread the word about keeping well mentally and support pupils on the playground should they need it.

Carnegie Centre of Excellence - Silver Award
We are very proud at Parkview to be a recipient of a SILVER AWARD from the Carnegie Centre of Excellence for our work with mental health and wellbeing.
