RSE

Relationships and Sex Education

From September 2020, the DfE (Department for Education) introduced compulsory Relationships and Health Education for all children in England and Wales. Primary settings are not required to teach sex education as part of this but it is encouraged. At Parkview, this is delivered. Prior to these sessions, the class teacher will notify you and will give you an opportunity to ask questions and see resources.

As part of implementing this RSE curriculum, the school consulted with the children, parents, staff and governors of Parkview Primary School. We consult with parents on a regular basis, as the parent body does not remain static and the programme that we teach may need to be adapted to meet new needs and ensure continuous improvement.

The resources below are to support your understanding of RHSE in Primary Schools:

Parents can ask to see the curriculum resources used to teach their children.
