  • Australia Awareness Day

Fri 28 Feb 2020 Mrs Needham

Today we are celebrating 'Australia Awareness Day'.

Last term, the Eco Committee independently decided that they wanted to raise money to support the animals and people who were suffering as a result of the Australian bush fires. The children have planned and organised this event as a committee, and the teaching team are incredibly proud and impressed by their efforts. We launched the day in assembly this morning, with songs from the Musical Theatre production. The Eco Committee then introduced the day to the children and parents, and they even created their own poem.

Thank you to all of our parents and carers who have supported this event, donated cakes for the cake sale and given generous donations. It is very much appreciated.

In addition, thank you to the Eco Committee, you should be very proud of your efforts. Well done.

  • NSPCC

Mon 03 Feb 2020 Mrs Needham
Today the NSPCC visited our school and led assemblies across Key Stage One and Two, and led workshops in Year 5 and 6. They delivered their Speak Out. Stay Safe message, to share information on how the children can stay safe from harm and how to get help if they have any worries. Further support and information can be found at nspcc.org.uk
