• SCHOOL CLOSURE

  Dear Parents and Carers,

  I write to you in acknowledgement of the Governments announcement this evening.

  As of Friday 20th March 2020, schools in England will close until further notice.

  The government have stated that there will be provision for specific children who meet certain criteria, and we will make every effort to fulfill this duty.

  Once the Department for Education releases this guidance, detailing who these key groups are, I will notify you as soon as possible. 

  In the meantime, the guidance about staying at home remains the same if you or your family display symptoms. In addition, the guidance around vulnerable people social distancing themselves also remains the same. 

  This is a very challenging time for us all and I thank you for your patience whilst we put emergency procedures into place.

   

• The Launch of the Big Pedal

  Today we were joined by British Champion Danny Butler with his Extreme Bike Show to promote our Big Pedal coming up in April. It was a very exciting morning which kicked started with exciting music and a safety introduction. Danny then performed a variety of extreme stunts to the whole school, from Reception to Year 6.

   

  He was a great inspiration to the children, and he told them that he used to compete competitively and is 5 x British Men's Elite Champion, European Champion and the 1st person from the UK to make it to a UCI World Final and the Highest World Ranking No.3.

   

  The children are excited to take part in the Big Pedal following this launch, look out for further information. Thank you to Danny... it was a great opportunity to have such talent in school for our children to aspire to. 

  

• Well Done to our Eco Committee

  Congratulations to our Eco Committee, your efforts in organising an Australia Awareness day raised £381.37. Wow! Well done.
